A fictional murder mystery set in a small Kentucky mountain village in 1948. Four women from the area are friends. A light appears over the top of the mountain and a reported from Louisville comes to investigate. However, she is more interested in the lives of the four friends than the mystery lights. Why? Past and present collide with deadly results. Somebody has to die. Who? How? Why? Forty years later a niece of one of the Merry Widows is determined to answer those questions.
